Education Leadership
I have led major undergraduate and postgraduate education reform with a clear and consistent focus: to prepare students for careers of influence and leadership in a rapidly changing, technology-enabled business world.
Selected Initiatives
Business Education AI Direction
A faculty-wide transformation of business education to meet the realities of an AI-shaped world. Anchored in a clear, collaboratively developed AI Direction Statement, this initiative is focused on rethinking curriculum, pedagogy and assessment across all disciplines, supported by discipline-level action plans. AI is treated not as an end in itself, but as a catalyst for strengthening business education for rising employer expectations and new possibilities for developing more advanced graduate capabilities.
Acumen-focused Professional Accounting Education
A strategic reorientation of professional accounting education toward developing business acumen as an essential component of accounting expertise. This approach positions accounting as a core lens for understanding and running successful businesses. The aim is to equip graduates with the judgment and insight on what drives value in organisations, to make better strategic, operational and commercial decisions for a wide range of business contexts.
Business Sustainability and Social Impact Specialisation
A specialisation for future business leaders who understand that sustainability and social impact are integral to long-term value creation. Student learn how leading organisations align people, planet and profit to drive innovation and growth. Graduates develop highly transferable capabilities valued across accounting, finance, consulting, investment, assurance, government and the not-for-profit sector, strengthening employability and leadership readiness for an economy that increasingly focuses attention on business ESG opportunities and obligations.
CPA Australia Masters Pathway
A sector-leading, Go8-first initiative that integrates CPA Australia professional education directly into UNSW’s Master of Professional Accounting program. This embedded pathway enables graduates to complete their UNSW degree with CPA education requrements, advancing their professional standing, employability and global career mobility.
Fraud Examination and Financial Crime Education
Industry partnered offerings that bring world-leading research and industry best practice on financial crime into undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional education on fraud prevention and detection. Central to this initiative is UNSW’s Fraud Examination Fundamentals course. Co-designed with experts from industry and law enforcement, this course equips students with the critical skills needed for more risk-aware professional work and leadership, and for pursuing roles in forensic accounting.
